Dear (former) guests, friends,

Camp Vallée du Tarn has been our life's work for seven years now. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved and are also incredibly grateful for every wonderful encounter we have had here! We welcome you, our dear guests, to this magical place every year and can offer you peace, space, nature, conviviality and connection. We have created something that keeps you coming back for that wonderful, cosy tranquillity here on the Tarn.

In those seven years, we have already faced considerable challenges. Covid arrived a year after we started, we had illegal discharges in the toilet, and the towering trees grew too tall and became unsafe. We had to pay for everything out of our own pockets and dip into our savings for the septic tank issues and the annual “major maintenance” of the trees. We did not receive a single euro in subsidies for the Covid years, but covered everything ourselves. The cars are old and require more and more maintenance, the descent to the water needs to be made safer, and the last trees still need to be pruned.

In addition, the major flood of 22 December 2025 destroyed the gravel path, fences, tree trunk tables, and decking...

Our budget was calculated for 10 years

Unfortunately, the result of all the above is that our buffer is now empty... despite the fact that the campsite is doing very well and that we have also worked hard in the winters to generate extra income.
